64 year old male patient monitored during pace map. Patient has a history of paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia.
Rhythm analysis shows a rapid ventricular tachycardia. Cardioversion leads to sinus tachycardia with a left bundle branch block (LBBB).
This encounter shows rapid ventricular tachycardia, a dangerous rhythm which causes reduced cardiac output and can lead to ventricular fibrillation. Cardioversion is performed with defibrillation, which converts the heart rhythm to a paced, sinus tachycardia. A left bundle branch block (LBBB) is also present.
