75 year old male patient with valvular stenosis monitored during aortic and mitral valve replacements. Patient also has a history of coronary artery disease.
Rhythm analysis indicates ventricular pacing.
This encounter shows a patient undergoing an aortic and mitral valve replacement operation. The patient is on a temporary ventricular pacing device in demand mode (VVI), which causes the pacing spikes (sharp vertical lines) sometimes seen just before the QRS. Temporary pacing is often utilized to prevent hemodynamic instability due to bradycardia.
