81 year old male patient with coronary artery disease monitored during resection of abdominal aortic aneurysm. Patient also has a history of aortic stenosis and cardiomyopathy.
Rhythm analysis indicates atrial fibrillation with ventricular demand pacing.
This encounter shows a patient with an underlying rhythm of atrial fibrillation (AFib) undergoing an abdominal aortic aneurysm resection. The patient is on a ventricular pacing device in demand mode (VVI), which causes the pacing spikes (sharp vertical lines) seen just before the QRS complexes in Lead V1.
